The Grace Blog Turns 1!

The Grace Blog's One Year Anniversary!

Today is the first anniversary of The Grace Blog being launched.  Wow, I can’t believe that it has been a whole year already!

When I was thinking and praying about starting a blog, I didn’t know anything about building a website.  I didn’t have the money to pay for a website subscription and the other things associated with producing and maintaining a website to host the blog.

I was worried about the time that it might take and that I wouldn’t be able to come up with enough content to write about every week.  I wondered if anyone would even read the blogs and if it would be helpful to them if they did.

I also had some anxiety and fear about potentially receiving public criticism from those who wouldn’t agree with various topics I would be writing about.  That alone almost kept me from starting in the first place.

I’m glad the Lord gave me the grace to overcome those concerns and step out into the blogosphere.  It has been such a privilege to be involved with this project and watch God provide for all that was needed.

You have been a huge blessing and encouragement to me.  Thank you for reading the blogs.  Thank you for subscribing to my email list.  Thank you for sharing the blogs on social media and for writing encouraging words in the comments, in the emails you sent to me, and through texts, phone calls, and face-to-face conversations.

Thank you for the coffees that you’ve purchased to say thank you and for the generous donations to help cover the costs of hosting a website and to just be a blessing to my family and me.

3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

(Philippians 1:3-5)

REAL GRACE – REAL LIFE – REAL HOPE

On the first day that I launched The Grace Blog and the site went live, I posted 3 blog posts: “Real Grace,” “Real Life,” and “Real Hope.”  The first one, Real Grace, has been the most-read blog post out of all of the blogs in year one (I’ll post a top 10 most-read blog post at the end of 2023).

If you joined The Grace Blog community after it launched and missed those posts, or if you just wanted to read them again, here are the links to those initial three blogs. . .

REAL GRACE

Is grace just for salvation? No! We receive salvation by grace, and we live the Christian life by grace too! Grace is everything.

REAL LIFE

Jesus said he came to give us abundant life, but where is it? How come so many of us can’t seem to find and experience real life? Maybe it’s because we are looking in the wrong places?

REAL HOPE

Stumbling through the Christian life can leave many of us feeling hopeless, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Find out how to experience real hope in your life.
